We are currently in the transition between Lead Pastors.
what's next?
The Church Board met with our District Superintendent and appointed the following people to serve on the search committee for our next lead pastor: Nate Senica, Pat Berry, Steve Taylor, Russ Schrag, Sherry Stevenson, Mark Buehl, Deb Nelson and Natalie Hulstrom. These individuals represent our Church Board, Mission Strategy Team, Finance Team, staff, and Peru Campus. The first meeting with our District Superintendent and Search Committee Team to begin the process will take place in mid-June.
Phase 1: Develop search criteria
Our search team met with Dr. Scott Sherwood and Rev. Lloyd Brock to begin to put a “profile” together of the qualities we would like to see in our next lead pastor. Using our current mission and core values, we will look for a lead pastor who reflects these values. A survey was sent to the staff and church board and the results of the survey were discussed at our first meeting. Search criteria will be consolidated and the criteria will be sent to researchers for the Church of the Nazarene.
Phase 2: Filter data
Our District Superintendent gathered data for the qualities of our next Lead Pastor according to the profile that the leadership teams developed.
Phase 3: Vet candidates
We are still looking at profiles for possible candidates for the next lead pastor. Our search team is praying along with you for wisdom and discernment.
Phase 4: Interview process
Currently we are in Phase 4 which means we are actively interviewing and vetting candidates. We are in search of the unique individual that God has equipped and engaged to lead us in our next leg of our journey here at Crossbridge! We ask that you continue to pray for clarity and wisdom.
Phase 5: Final Candidate selection
The search team has narrowed it down to a candidate. When we are able to share more information we will, but for now continue to pray that this candidate will feel the wisdom and discernment from God on where He is leading them.
Phase 6: Board approval
The search team brought the candidate to the church board and the board unanimously approved the person and so we will be moving forward!
Phase 7: Congregation approval
We will be having a congregational vote on March 12&13th, 2022. There will be no absentee voting. There also will be no information given or voting online. If you would like to vote, please plan to make it to one of our services at our physical campuses. There will be a binding vote for members 15 years and older and a non-binding vote for non-members.
The congregation approved Pastor Keith Schubert and he has accepted the position as lead pastor. His first weekend here will be July 9th, 2022.

let's pray
Please set your alarm for 2:07p each day and join us in prayer for our next Lead Pastor.
Psalm 20:7b says, “We trust in the name of the Lord our God”. We are trusting God to give us discernment and wisdom as we begin to pray for exactly the right person to be called to Crossbridge.
During this time we would invite you to be praying for specific things.
Pray for our interim preaching team as they bring God's word to us during this transition time.
Pray for our next lead pastor. Pray that they would hear God speaking to them clearly during this process. Pray that God would begin to prepare their heart to become our next lead pastor.
Pray for our Search Team as they continue in the process.
Pray for Crossbridge to stay focused on the mission during this time.
