In April 2019, Sam and Kristi traveled down to the Dominican Republic to connect with our then mission partners, Scott and Emily Armstrong. Kristi was coordinating Crossbridge’s partnership with the Armstrongs, and the goal of the trip was to better understand their ministry and how Crossbridge and the Armstrong could best partner together. It was a quick trip full of many learning opportunities and spiritual growth for both Sam and Kristi. Conversations with the Armstrong’s continued after their return home as well as on their next trip in October 2019 with the first Crossbridge team in the Dominican Republic. After that trip, Sam and Kristi were invited to attend a mission experience where they were interviewed by the Church of the Nazarene as well as learned more about the possibility of becoming cross cultural missionaries. In February 2020 they were officially offered a volunteer position serving alongside the Armstrongs and the Center of Missionary Formation. Because of COVID, they were asked to take a slight shift in their role where they will now be able to serve other churches throughout the entire country as well.

The Church of the Nazarene is a world-wide church. We are currently in over 150 countries. Through our commitment to Funding the Mission, Crossbridge sends a portion of everything we take in back out the doors to plant churches in the United States, support missionaries around the world, and build hospitals and schools. In addition to that, a portion of the money raised through our Far More initiative is being given specifically to our mission partnership.
